YEREVAN.  – All reforms will fail unless judicial reforms are carried out, Armenian Justice Minister said.

On Monday Hrayr Tovmasyan met with Nils Muižnieks, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, who is attending Yerevan-hosted Conference on Combating Racism, Xenophobia and Intolerance in Europe.

Commissioner for Human Rights met with Justice Minister to be informed about the moves taken in the field of human rights, in particular draft program on the events being held within national strategy on human rights protection.

Minister Tovmasyan briefed the guest on the state of human rights in Armenia, the ongoing reforms as well as the progress of 2012-2016 program of judicial reforms.

This is the first visit of Nils Muižnieks to Armenia since he has taken office in April 2012.
