YEREVAN. – The statement by Armenia’s Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan is a report about a crime.

Opposition ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party National Assembly (NA) Faction member Artsvik Minasyan noted the aforesaid during Monday’s NA discussions devoted to the 2014 State Budget.

Earlier, Sargsyan had stated that the payment of unemployment benefits was ineffective because, in 94 percent of the cases, socially secure people—who were not seeking jobs—had received these payments.

In turn Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artem Asatryan explained to news reporters that even though the benefit recipients should be employed within six months to one year, in case of the payment of unemployment benefits, jobs were provided for solely 6 percent.
