YEREVAN. – The Customs Union will create trade opportunities without duties, development of export and will attract investments which will have a positive impact on Armenia’s economy, Orinats Yerkir MP said.
Mher Shahgeldyan believes first of all there will be diversification of exports of domestic goods, which will increasingly be directed to the countries of the Customs Union.
“More active trade will create opportunities for new investments, and there are already certain arrangements,” Shageldyan said, stressing that there are preliminary arrangements about the gas price.
The lawmaker underscored the need to protect the interests of domestic entrepreneurs, however, in his opinion, it is a normal thing while working with any international organization.
Touching upon the security, Mher Shahgeldyan said that Armenia’s certain security systems will be upgraded.
“In particular, it concerns the borders, state reserves in emergency situations and so on.”
