YEREVAN. – Armenian Ministry of Labor will review social consequences of increasing the transportation fares, Minister Artyom Asatryan told reporters.
He said additional allowances or compensations will not be paid because of transportation fare rise.
“Any price increase must be taken as a whole, and it is not necessary to focus on the price increase as such. We are analyzing the consequences of it as it can affect the vulnerable layers of the population,” Asatryan added.
The transportation fares are being studied by a special committee set up under the decree of Yerevan Mayor.
