STEPANAKERT. – A visit to the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) is not slated within the framework of the current regional visit by the co-chairs of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).   

The NKR President’s press secretary Davit Babayan told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“Within the framework of this visit, the emphasis is put on setting up a meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“In all likelihood, given the format of the visit, a visit to [NKR capital city] Stepanakert is not slated,” Babayan stressed. 

To note, OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Jacques Faure (France), James Warlick (USA), and Igor Popov (Russia) on Monday arrived in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan from the Azerbaijani capital, Baku. On Tuesday, they will meet with President Serzh Sargsyan and FM Edward Nalbandian. In Baku, they already met with the Azerbaijani president and the FM.
