YEREVAN. – The 23rd session of the Armenian-Russian Interparliamentary Commission got underway in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.

To note, the aforesaid commission of the Russian Federal Assembly and the Armenian National Assembly was formed within the framework of the agreement that was signed between the parliaments of the two countries in February 1998. 

The commission contributes to the development of bilateral interstate relations and ties, conducts consultations and exchange of information, analyzes the interparliamentary ties, and coordinates the legislative activities between Armenia and Russia.     

The Commission meetings are held not more than twice a year in Yerevan and in Moscow.
