YEREVAN. – It appears that gay marriages occur in Armenia, too, Haykakan Zhamanak (HZ) daily reports.  

“HZ has learned of one such case. After a small wedding, this [homosexual] boy couple now lives together, with the parents of one of them.

“[But] they did not officially register the marriage; they solely lit candles so they may be happy.   

“The youths’ parents have reconciled with the fact, but the neighbors have serious issues with this family that lives in one of the ‘most backward’ districts of [capital city] Yerevan,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
