YEREVAN. – Agreement on sale of ArmRusgasprom shares and other deals concerning gas prices resemble crime reports, opposition MP Alexander Arzumanyan said.
He explained that the process was accompanied by such crimes as money laundering, corruption and fraud. These agreements not only limit the authority of future presidents and lawmakers, but put a ban on legislative activities in this sector.
“Under the agreement, the Armenian side will ensure that up to December 2043 they will not change laws, resolutions, decrees and other regulations so as not to jeopardize the guarantees provided by Gazprom. By signing this agreement, the government in fact decided that the next six presidents and deputies will not change the law. This agreement comes to cosmic proportions. Even the Russian tsars were not that pleased with themselves,” Arzumanyan emphasized.
