YEREVAN. – The Armenian civic activists, who are fighting against the ratification of the natural gas agreements signed between the Governments of Armenia and Russia, may bring along natural gas cylinders to their demonstration to be staged on December 23 in front of the National Assembly (NA) building.

The activists will bring these gas cylinders for heating and making hot tea, a “We are the deciders” initiative member informed.

To note, despite the blistering cold, the civic activists staged a protest across the NA building on Friday.

But the controversial agreement that was signed on December 2 between the Armenian and the Russian governments—and pursuant to which the remaining 20 percent of the ArmRusGazprom Company shares, which the Government of Armenia owns, will be sold to the Russian energy giant Gazprom Company, and the future conditions of operations—was not put to a vote at the NA on Friday. National Assembly Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan had decided to reschedule the voting for December 23.
