The next round of the Turkish-Azerbaijani talks on gas prices is scheduled for this May, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kılıç stated in his interview with ANS TV.

The diplomat did not rule out that the sides will reach an agreement.

Kılıç stated that the sides will discuss a number of issues: the price for the Shah Deniz gas, the amount of gas to be imported from the Shah Deniz, the prices for the transit of gas through Turkey, as well as the imports of Azerbaijani gas to Turkey.

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and the Turkish BOTAS Company have been negotiating for almost two years, but have not yet reached an agreement on the three aforementioned issues. According to Turkish media, the sides have managed to agree on the gas pricing formula. Specifically, with the crude oil price being U.S. $60-$80 per barrel, Turkey will pay U.S. $250-$270 per 1,000 cubic meters of Azeri gas.
