On August 10, 2009 on the initiative of the Commission for the Preservation of Historic Cultural Heritage of Argentine Ministry of Culture, RA Embassy in Buenos Aires and Armenian communities, the “Armenian Buenos Aires” event launched. It aims at revealing the role of Armenians residing in Buenos Aires in the cultural, economic, public and humanitarian fields, as well as to present Armenian history, reasons for Armenians’ immigration and their achievements within last century.

The opening ceremony took place in the ancient building of the first Argentinean Republic Parliament. Leticia Maronese, the Secretary General for the Preservation of Historic Cultural Heritage of the Ministry of Culture, RA Ambassador to Argentina Vladimir Karmirshalyan and other public figures.

The concert of community ensembles will end the “Armenian Buenos Aires” program.
