YEREVAN. – The body of Raja Kannadasan, 23, a third-year Indian student at Yerevan State Medical University (YSMU) in Armenia’s capital city, was sent back to India at the expenses of the university.
YSMU Press Officer Aleksandra Harutyunyan told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“We [, the university,] have assumed all the costs upon ourselves; all necessary measures have been taken,” she added.
The YSMU press service, however, did not respond to the query on the reason why the university rector had taken such a decision.
As reported earlier, Raja Kannadasan had committed suicide in Armenia, apparently depressed over the Indian Bank refusing to give him education loan despite court orders.
The Yerevan State Medical University administration and the victim’s friends had told us that they had observed psychological disorders in the Indian medico in recent times, and therefore he was taken to a psychiatric hospital.
