STEPANAKERT. – A growth in ceasefire violations was still observed on the Line of Contact between the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing forces on January 10 and the early morning hours on Sunday.
Accordingly, the adversary breached the truce around 200 times, during which more than 2,000 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian positions, and by way of different-caliber rifle weaponry, the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) Defense Army reported.
In addition to the aforementioned violations, Azerbaijan also made use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over some sections of the Line of Contact.
The Defense Army vanguard units, however, continue to confidently control the tactical operational situation along the entire length of the frontlines, and resort to appropriate actions if necessary, the NKR MOD press service informed.
