The free economic zone of Armenia’s jewelry industry is the right direction.

Russian state-run ALROSA Corporation Vice President Andrey Polyakov, who attended, last October in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, the Yerevan Show 1014 international fair that was held at the Meridian jewelry zone, told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He also noted that several Armenian jewelers, who conduct activities abroad and work with ALROSA, are considering the possibility of opening manufacturing facilities at Meridian.

“The partners tell us that this is not solely a duty to the historical homeland, but a commercial interest. In our opinion, it’s the right direction.

“They make large volume of purchases from us, and they can become the leaders of the further development of the processing industry in Armenia,” Polyakov stated.
