STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) President Bako Sahakyan on Friday chaired the meeting of the NKR Cabinet of Ministers dedicated to ensuring the fulfillment of the 2015 State Budget and adoption of the 2015 Action Plan of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Summing up the activities of the meeting, Sahakyan touched upon the political developments of the past year, the government activities, and the key projects to be implemented this year, informed the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.

Speaking about the activities carried out by the government in socioeconomic domain, the President evaluated them in general as satisfactory. According to Sahakyan, despite the impact of some negative trends in the global economy and geopolitical competition, Artsakh’s economy has maintained positive dynamics of the economic growth, the government has fulfilled all the assumed social responsibilities including raising salaries, pensions, allowances, bonuses, and several other social payments. Bako Sahakyan considered the diligence, law obedience, and optimism of the people, as well as the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity, as the pivotal foundation of all the successes.

Along with the accomplishments, the NKR President also touched upon the problems, unresolved issues, and the tasks to be fulfilled. The President stressed that the issues of accurate organization, development and implementation of comprehensive mid-term and long-term projects, correct personnel policy, and low level of local initiatives required a special attention.

President Sahakyan gave concrete instructions on the proper implementation of the projects planned for 2015, noting that the government and its organizations were expected to show active, efficient, and coordinated work.
