YEREVAN. – The adversary violated the ceasefire on the Armenia-Azerbaijan state border around 86 times, on Friday and the early morning hours on Saturday.

These ceasefire violations—primarily irregular shooting—were recorded at the northeastern sector of the border, the Armenia MOD press service informed.

But the frequency of these breaches in the truce has reduced, as compared to the previous days.

According to the operative data obtained, more than 600 shots were fired in the direction of Armenian military positions, and by way of different-caliber rifle weaponry.

The vanguard units of the Armenia Armed Forces took retaliatory actions solely when absolutely necessary, and confidently oversaw the military positions under their protection.   

The Armenian side opened response fire eleven times, and fired 178 shots in the direction of the adversary.

The Armenian military servicemen take equivalent actions only against the adversary’s targeted violations.
