YEREVAN. – Armenia's membership to the Eurasian Economic Union is not an insuperable obstacle for development of relations with EU, French Ambassador Jean-Francois Charpentier told reporters in Yerevan.
The diplomat said he does not see estimations, at least now, that will hamper development of relations with EU on several directions, and energy is among such sectors.
In the context of upcoming Eastern Partnership summit in Rigat, the focus is on the certain priority directions.
“We will try to have a clear perception which areas for cooperation can be developed,” Ambassador said.
As to development of Armenia-France economic relatoons, Ambassador said the first Carrefour supermarket will open in Yerevan in early March. The policy of Carrefour is to work with local producers, he emphasized.
