YEREVAN. – Rallies will be held in Armenia’s regions, and a strong public assembly will take place in the near future in capital city Yerevan.

Non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan stated the above-said at Thursday’s PAP-organized conference of the country’s political and social forces.

In his words, the political monopoly in Armenia needs to be uprooted.

“Armenia needs new-quality authorities, new, educated people. In this regard, I announce my readiness to support such new candidates,” Tsarukyan specifically stated. “The ball is on the authorities’ side, but their time is not forever, and it must make a decision.”

The PAP leader also noted that all of Armenia’s political forces, except for the ruling party, are not in the “game” in this situation, and therefore the authorities need to change their approach and enable the other political forces to likewise be a part of the powers that be.
