Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan met with his Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev on Thursday to discuss strategic relations and expansion of cooperation.
“I am confident that establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union will give an impetus to development of our economies and increasing competitiveness. I hope that changes in economic indicators, in particular increase in trade and investment will be observed in the near future which in turn will contribute to raising living standards and creating new jobs,” he said.
The Prime Ministers discussed development of economic cooperation in certain areas and underscored importance of creating new projects within the Eurasian Economic Union.
The sides stressed that Armenia's joining the Union will create opportunities for trade growth and will attract new investments.
