YEREVAN. – It would be desirable that we can raise Armenian-French economic cooperation to the level of political discourse between our countries.
The Minister of Diaspora of Armenia, Hranush Hakobyan, noted the aforesaid at her meeting on Friday with French Ambassador Jean-François Charpentier.
The ambassador, for his part, said today’s 500,000-strong French-Armenian community is active, very well organized, and fully integrated into the French scene. The diplomat also underscored the development of economic relations, and the further deepening of cooperation.
In this context, minister Hakobyan presented the works that are being carried out with the chambers of commerce and industry of France.
She also underscored French President François Hollande’s expected participation in the Armenian Genocide centenary events, which will be held on April 24 in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan.
In turn, Ambassador Charpentier expressed his satisfaction with the work that has been done to develop the Armenian-French business ties, and the trade and economic relations.
