YEREVAN. – The Armenian authorities have not sent clear messages in the lead-up to April 24, 2015, the centenary of the Armenian Genocide.
Opposition Heritage Party National Assembly Faction Head Ruben Hakobyan stated about the aforementioned at Friday’s parliamentary briefings.
“[But] it’s still not too late. We need to have, before April 24, one or two [Armenian] nationwide messages that unite everyone.
“But the work does not end, rather only begins with the 100th anniversary of April 24. It’s important what we [, Armenians,] will do after that, what we will demand on the world stage, what assistance will we ask of our friends, including of those that accept the invitation and arrive in this [commemoration] event [to be held] in April [in capital city Yerevan].
“Unfortunately, I didn’t see in the [recently issued Pan-Armenian] Declaration [on the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide] the answers to these questions,” Hakobyan specifically noted.
