Armenia’s new Ambassador to Argentina, Aleksan Harutyunyan, on Tuesday presented his credentials to Vice President Amado Boudou, who is also President of the Senate of Argentina.
Congratulating and welcoming the Armenian ambassador, Vice President Boudou expressed the hope that the diplomat will contribute in the best way possible to the development of Armenian-Argentinean relations. He also highly assessed Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s official visit to Argentina in July 2014. In addition, Boudou underscored the Argentine-Armenian community’s influential role in the country. The Argentine vice president also expressed willingness to play a part in the enhancement of Armenian-Argentinean relations.
Harutyunyan, for his part, noted that he will do his utmost, during his tenure as ambassador, to establish closer ties between the two friendship countries.
Following the ceremony of the presentation of the credentials, Ambassador Harutyunyan visited the square named after General José de San Martín, and placed a wreath to the monument of this national hero of Argentina.
