YEREVAN. – The Yerevan Police had received a report on Friday, according to which there was an argument in an apartment and there might have been a murder.
The police officers, who were dispatched to the scene, had found out that the husband of Anahit Kh. (born in 1969) had detonated the grenade in his hand during a domestic dispute.
As a result, Anahit Kh. and Yelena Dallakyan (born in 2011) were taken to hospital with injuries.
The police detained Melik Galstyan (born in 1963), who was suspected of committing this crime, and he confessed to this offense.
Surb Astvatsamayr (Holy Mother of God) Medical Center Director Nikolay Dallakyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that four-year-old Yelena is in stable but critical condition. He noted that the little girl had undergone a major, difficult, and lengthy surgery.
And Center Reanimation Department Head Anna Chobanyan informed that they had operated on the little girl’s legs and one of her hands.
As for the nanny, who likewise was injured as a result of the grenade blast, she is in normal condition.
Surb Grigor Lusavorich (Saint Gregory the Illuminator) Medical Center Reanimation Department Head Gagik Manukyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the grenade fragments were removed from her body, and she will be transferred to the Surgery Department on Saturday.
