A 1915-meter-long flag will be made in Turkey, and on the occasion of the forthcoming 100th anniversary of the Battle of Gallipoli.

The Sonkale Association has decided to have a Turkish flag made which will be 1915 meters long, 3 meters wide and made from one fabric, and it will be devoted to the Turkish victory achieved at the Battle of Gallipoli, reported Dogan news agency of Turkey.

It is also noted that this flag is slated to be raised on March 18, which is considered the victory day of the aforesaid battle.

After the celebration event, this giant flag is expected to be donated either to the Provincial Hall, or the Municipality of Canakkale, Turkey, where the battle was fought.
