YEREVAN. – The former Chief of the Yerevan Traffic Police, Arsen Arshakyan, has been appointed Head of the Rescue Department of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations of Armenia.
Rescue Service Deputy Head Nikolay Grigoryan informed about the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The Minister of Territorial Administration and Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan, has signed the respective order on Tuesday.
As reported earlier, Arsen Arshakyan was relieved of his duties as Chief of the Yerevan Traffic Police. The Armenia Police news department confirmed this information to Armenian News-NEWS.am. In response to our query as to the reason for Arshakyan’s dismissal, the Police news department had recalled the ongoing personnel reforms in the country’s police system. “The personnel changes should be viewed solely within the framework of reforms,” the Police news service had stated.
Arshakyan, on the other hand, had told us that he was dismissed in order to assume another job.
