Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu once again accused Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen of supporting Armenians ahead of April 24.
Davutoglu slammed head of the Gulen movement in his speech during the meeting of Justice and Development party.
“In his New York Times article, Fethullah Gulen wrote that there is a crackdown on minority groups. Why is he writing this? Because April 24 is approaching. The Armenian and Jewish lobby groups have intensified their efforts,” Davutoglu said.
In his latest article published in New York Times, Gulen said his movement is not the only victims of the A.K.P.’s crackdown.
“Peaceful environmental protesters, Kurds, Alevis, non-Muslim citizens and some Sunni Muslim groups not aligned with the ruling party have suffered, too. Regardless of their religious observance, citizens can and should unite around universal human rights and freedoms, and democratically oppose those who violate them.,” he wrote.
