YEREVAN. – The recently introduced Pan-Armenian Declaration on the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is a successful document.
Ambassador Arman Navasardyan, who is also the director of Diplomat.am, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Wednesday.
In his words, this declaration is aimed at the future, and the Armenian diplomacy needs to put this document at the basis of its international relations.
The diplomat noted, however, that Turkey will intensify its approach after such a document.
“Turkey has a puppet state like Azerbaijan, and this ought to drive us [, the Armenian side,] to prudence,” Navasardyan said adding that Turkey may use the Islamic State also against Armenia.
Reflecting on the Armenian-Turkish protocols, he stressed that these documents need to be recalled.
Ambassador Arman Navasardyan also stated that there are virtually no accomplishments in the Armenian Genocide issue within past five years, and this is a cause for concern.
