YEREVAN. – If negotiations are underway on the Karabakh issue for many years yet the tension is growing, it means either the format of the negotiations, or the negotiators need to be changed.

Former politician, analyst Vigen Khachatryan told the abovementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

And commenting on Armenia defense minister’s press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan’s view that there is a slow war on the border with Azerbaijan, Khachatryan specifically stated: “It is apparent that the situation is worrisome. The question is, what objective is the negotiator pursuing; resolving the problem, or leaving [it] unresolved? I guess maintaining the current status quo is still beneficial to some people.”
