The head of the Socio-Political Affairs Department at Azerbaijan’s Presidential Administration, Ali Hasanov, has begrudged the western countries, Haqqin.az reported.
Speaking to The Financial Times daily of Great Britain, Hasanov did not welcome the growing demands to arm Ukraine, and at the same time, he expressed concern about the Ukrainian conflict’s potential impact on the national security and domestic stability of Azerbaijan.
“In general, Azerbaijan is against military forms of solving conflicts. We believe that in the present world there are more powerful tools for solving conflicts than military ones,” Hasanov stated.
He added, however, that Azerbaijan was disappointed that western governments had not taken an equally firm stand with respect to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
