YEREVAN. – Latvia always considered Armenia an important partner in the South Caucasus, Latvia's Ambassador to Armenia Elita Gavele said in Yerevan.
Latvia plans to continue political dialogue with Armenia, and the evidence thereof is the latest visit of Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, Ambassador said during a conference dedicated to the priorities of Latvia's EU presidency.
“Eastern Partnership is one of the priorities of Latvia's EU presidency. We plan to reaffirm strategic importance of Eastern Partnership as a part of EU policy. Latvia plans to enhance the common platform of Eastern Partnership project,” Ambassador emphasized.
