YEREVAN. – The European Union has been and remains an important partner for Armenia, Deputy Foreign Miniter Garen Nazarian said during a conference in Yerevan.

During the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius the sides agreed on moves aimed at establishing new legal framework of Armenia-EU relations, he recalled.

“We continue active participation in Eastern Partnership platform. On January 20 the meeting of the Armenia-EU Cooperation Council took place,” Nazarian said.

One of the key directions of Armenia-EU cooperation is discussions on human rights, the official believes. Armenia's achievements on human rights have got a positive response from our partners.
