YEREVAN. – The United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) new Ambassador to Armenia, Jassim Mohammed Mubarak Al Qasimi, on Friday presented a copy of his credentials to Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Congratulating the ambassador on his appointment and highly evaluating the relations between the two friendship countries and peoples, Nalbandian welcomed the founding of the embassy of the UAE in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan. The FM also expressed the hope that the newly appointed ambassador will bring his important contribution to the further deepening and development of the bilateral ties between Armenia and the UAE.

Ambassador Al Qasimi, for his part, noted that the founding of the aforesaid embassy bespeaks the importance the UAE places to the development of collaboration with Armenia. In addition, the diplomat assured that he will do his utmost to strengthen ties.

Subsequently, the interlocutors exchanged views on the agenda issues of bilateral relations.
