YEREVAN. – Inquiries on Armenian deputies' absences from parliament sessions are not targeted at at anyone in particular, Speaker of Armenian parliament Galist Sahakyan said.

The parliament staff continues to look into the absences of all MPs during fall session of 2014: the deputies are submitting explanations to the staff.

“We will discuss information and brief you on the results,” Sahakyan added.

Asked about the documents that Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan had filed, and whether his absence is linked to his business activities, the speaker said that he is not authorized to look into business checkups.

“These issues are handled by the parliament's staff. I do not know what documents Tsarukyan has submitted. But the discussion refers to all MPs from all factions and is not focused on anyone in particular,” he added.
