YEREVAN. – Different foreign policy directions should not hamper Armenia-Georgia relations, speaker of the Armenian parliament Galust Sahakyan told reporters.

“There is public concern about development of Armenia-Georgia relations given Armenia's joining the Eurasian Economic Union and Georgia's association with the European Union. But, I am confident that we will be able to make advantage of this to the benefit of our countries and nations,” Sahakyan said during a joint press conference with his Georgian counterpart Davit Usupashvili.

Usupashvili, in turn, added that different integration paths should not damage the friendship of countries and nations.

“We must make advantage of this for our common interests instead,” he emphasized.
