YEREVAN. – Regional visit of U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland is not linked to the domestic political developments, political analyst Sergey Minasyan believes.
It is very important that the visit of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs coincides with the regional visit of State Department official.
“Since it is a regional visit, and it was prepared fro a long time, the trip naturally has no link to Armenia's domestic policy events. On the other hand, it is clear that one of the main topics during the meetings with Armenian and Azerbaijani leadership is settlement of Karabakh conflict,” Minasyan said.
As reported earlier, Victoria Nuland will travel to Armenia on Wednesday to meet with senior government officials, civil society groups and youth representatives to discuss strengthening our political, economic, and people-to-people ties with Armenia and advancing a just and lasting settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
