The Municipal Council of Marseille, France, unanimously voted in favor of the draft decision with respect to holding events in the city, and in memory of the Armenian Genocide victims, reported the French Armenian Nouvelles d’Arménie magazine.
According to the decision, Marseille is committed to encouraging the holding of any remembrance events in connection with the centenary of the genocide. In addition, this French city will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the genocide with several programs whose objective will be to raise awareness, contribute to the propagation of reality about the Armenian Genocide, and fight against its denial.
