YEREVAN. – Armenia's Justice Minister refused to name the most corrupted sector in Armenia.

Asked by the reporters, Hovhannes Manukyan said to name the most corrupted sector would be “unprofessional” on his part.

Nevertheless, the Minister believes that mechanisms of a new governmental commission on combating corruption would enable to effectively study the possible conflict of interests and illegal embezzlement of the government officials.

“This plan was envisaged in government's action plan,” Manukyan added.

Asked whether the parliamentary opposition will participate in the work of commission, Manukyan said they would be invited.

“It is difficult to compare government agencies or public sectors in terms of the degree of corruptio, as the assessment will be subjective. Here we must rely on expert and public assessments rather than on political ones,” he emphasized.
