Azerbaijani side continues “attacking” Russian Foreign Ministry with ridiculous questions regarding Azerbaijani saboteur Dilham Askerov.

Asked by APA correspondent recalled that Russian FM Sergey Lavrov said the issue will be discussed with the Armenian side ans asked whether “the talks” gave any results, official representative of Russian MFA Alexander Lukashevich said: “As said Minister Sergey Lavrov, this issue will be discussed with Armenian colleagues”.

Azerbaijani side is working hard “to prove” that Dilham Askerov is allegedly a citizen of Russia. The Russian side has rejected the assertion, but Azerbaijani journalists are hardly interested in the fact.

As reported earlier, Dilham Askerov was charged with espionage; unauthorized border trespass; kidnapping and violence against a minor, committed by an organized group; murder committed by an organized group motivated by ethnic hatred; and attempt of murder of two persons, committed by an organized group, motivated by ethnic hatred. Shahbaz Guliyev was charged with espionage; unauthorized border trespass; kidnapping and violence against a minor, committed by an organized group; and murder committed by an organized group motivated by ethnic hatred.

And on December 29, 2014, the First Instance General Jurisdiction Court of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic had sentenced Dilham Askerov and Shahbaz Guliyev to life and 22 years, respectively, in prison. The convicts decided to appeal the verdict in court.
