The head of the Armenia Border Department of the Russian Federal Security Service, Major General Vyacheslav Biryukov, is confident that the newly recruited border guards will honorably perform the tasks that will be set before them.
Speaking at Saturday’s military oath ceremony at the border protection detachment in the Armavir Region, Biryukov thanked the parents of the recruits for instilling patriotism in their sons.
“Patriotism and loyalty have always been in first place in Armenian families,” he stressed.
The border department head expressed confidence that the new border guards will defend with honor the external borders of Armenia and the other CIS countries.
And against the backdrop of the forthcoming centennial of the Armenian Genocide and the 70th anniversary of the triumph in the Great Patriotic War, he called on the border guards to be more alert, and stressed that no provocation will go unpunished.
“Those who hope to take provocative actions shall definitely know that they will not succeed in any such step,” Vyacheslav Biryukov stated.
