YEREVAN. – Arsen Khojoyan, the Armenian citizen who had been returned from captivity in Azerbaijan last year and who was receiving treatment for the past ten to fifteen days at the capital city Yerevan’s Scientific-Medical Center of Dermatology and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, was discharged on Monday, the Center sources told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
They added, however, that even though Khojoyan is in relatively good condition at present, he needs to continue outpatient treatment at home.
Arsen Khojoyan, a then-23-year-old resident of Verin Karmiraghbyur village of Armenia’s Tavush Region, had crossed the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and taken prisoner on March 7, 2014. With mediation by the International Committee of the Red Cross, however, Khojoyan was repatriated on April 10 of the same year. But he complains of physical and psychological health issues ever since his return from captivity.
The repatriated Armenian captive was admitted to hospital on August 30, 2014, and diagnosed with vulgar psoriasis. He was discharged from hospital on September 12 of the same year, but a week later, he had felt ill again and readmitted to hospital.
