YEREVAN. – The meeting of Eurasian Economic Union leaders cannot be considered legitimate without Armenia's participation, MP from ruling Republican Party of Armenia said.

Khosrov Harutyunyan commented on the meeting of the presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan planned for March 12-13 in Astana.

The leaders will discuss a number of matters related to Eurasian integration, but Armenia – a member of the Eurasian Union – will not be represented at talks.

“I cannot say anything on the matter and will avoid making comments. If a meeting is held within Eurasian Economic Union, the discussions cannot be held without Armenia. I do not know who is gathering for the meeting, but in accordance with EEU legislation, the meeting of EEU members without Armenia is excluded,” he said.
