The journalists in Azerbaijan were “insulted” by being called “sold to Armenians.”
The incident occurred at the Baku Serious Crimes Court trial in the case of human rights activist Intigam Aliyev, reported Turan news agency of Azerbaijan.
The sister of the injured party had tried to answer the questions in her sister’s stead. And then, she started “insulting” those sitting in the courtroom by calling them “remorseless, dishonest, unpatriotic traitors who are sold to Armenians.”
Due to the ensuing argument, the presiding judge recessed the court hearing.
The Azerbaijani journalists and societal representatives, however, said they are going to file a complaint for this alleged affront to their dignity.
