YEREVAN. – The authorities accept the greater part of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party recommendations for the constitutional amendments, ARF MP Artsvik Minasyan told reporters on Thursday.

He noted the aforementioned in response to a query on whether the political party is going to have a new meeting with President Serzh Sargsyan, and with respect to the proposed constitutional reforms. He added, however, that the respective talks have not yet completed.

Minasyan stressed that the ARF recommendations are not hinged solely on the fact that they prefer the parliamentary system of governance over the semi-presidential, and that the matter is about a whole package of reforms that include several other issues.

The ARF deputy also noted that the constitutional norm about the preeminence of social and public rights needs to transform from a declarative into a working model.
