An event devoted to the La Francophonie Day in Saint Petersburg, Russia, was held Thursday at the Armenian Cultural Center in the city.

Armenia’s Consul General to Saint Petersburg, Hrayr Karapetyan, delivered opening remarks at the event.

He presented the bilateral relations and cooperation projects between Armenia and the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).

Karapetyan also noted that in 2012, Armenia has become the 54th full member in the OIF, and actively participates in the events this organization holds.

Next, the Swiss, French, Greek, and Bulgarian consul generals to Saint Petersburg delivered remarks.

At the end of the event, the speakers responded to the questions posed by those in attendance.
