Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh) Minister of Foreign Affairs Karen Mirzoyan on Friday received the delegates from the National Assembly of Armenia European Union (EU)-Armenia Parliamentary Cooperation Committee, led by Committee Co-Chairman Samvel Farmanyan.
During the meeting, Mirzoyan presented a range of issues on the NKR foreign policy agenda. The current phase in the process of a peaceful settlement to the conflict between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan, and the steps taken towards the international recognition of the NKR were touched upon at the talk.
The sides also exchanged views on the opportunities and prospects for the development of relations between the NKR and the EU, in particular, the implementation of practical programs within the framework of parliamentary cooperation. In this context, the sides stressed the importance of ensuring an unimpeded access to Artsakh for the official EU representatives, and the need for an objective and comprehensive presentation of the NKR position within European organizations.
