YEREVAN. – Armenia attaches major significance to the development of relations with the Arab states, and Egypt has a special place, Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said.
During his working visit to Egypt, Armenian PM met with President of Egypt Abdel al-Sisi.
The interlocutors gave high assessment of Armenian-Egyptian political relations and discussed a wide range of issues on development and expansion of economic cooperation. Prime Minister of Armenia and Egypt's President pointed out great potential for economic cooperation.
Abdel al-Sisi praised the role of the Armenian community in the development of the country and noted that the community is a good bridge for the expansion and deepening of Armenia-Egypt relations.
Armenia's Prime Minister recalled that this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and added that Armenia expects participation of high level delegation from Egypt in the April 24 events in Yerevan.
