Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed to bring the country’s Northern Fleet as well as the various units and air-landing troops of Russia’s Western Military Okrug (District) to full combat-readiness, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia.

Russian Minister of Defence Sergey Shoygu has announced about the aforesaid.

The minister added that a total of 38,000 military servicemen, 3,360 units of military equipment, 41 military ships and 15 submarines as well as 110 military aircrafts and helicopters will participate in the respective sudden inspections.
