YEREVAN. – The Armenian Genocide Centennial events cannot be compared with the events dedicated to the Battle of Gallipoli that will be held on April 24, Armenian MP Aragats Akhoyan said.

 Even in Turkey there are quite progressive people, organizations and parties who realize how cynical Ankara’s behavior is and what their aim is, Akhoyan told reporters.

The MP added that representatives of the countries planning to participate in Turkey events are acting in the interests of their economic relations with the country.

“They just cannot ignore the events,” he emphasized.
