YEREVAN. – Any form of government is vulnerable and has its advantages and disadvantages, MP from the Republican Party of Armenia said.

Manvel Badeyan said he sees a threat in the parliamentary form of government in case of rapid decision-making, but it is the Constitution that should include provisions which in some cases will permit making quick decisions.

“We must ensure this in the new Constitution. It is difficult to say who exactly will make this decision,” he told reporters on Tuesday.

According to the deputy, the draft constitutional reforms will be made with the joint discussion and decisions made on the part of professional groups, political forces, the Venice Commission.

“The radical change in our life depends on the Constitution. Today we have a constitution of one person. We may have the same after making changes, but maybe not. Let's draft an unbiased Constitution and ensure the development of our country,” Badeyan added.
