YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Tuesday received members of the Bureau of the Euronest (European Union (EU)+Eastern Partnership countries) Parliamentary Assembly (PA).

The guests have arrived in Armenia to participate in the ongoing Fourth Ordinary Session of the Euronest PA, which capital city Yerevan is hosting.

The President considered this session a good opportunity for casual discussions and exchanges of views, and expressed the hope that it will be productive. Sargsyan added that all preconditions exist for holding constructive and fruitful talks.

The Euronest PA Bureau members, for their part, expressed satisfaction by the results of their activities in the Armenian National Assembly during the past two days, and reflected on the topics of the planned forthcoming debates.

At the ensuing meeting, the interlocutors explored the prospects for the development of Armenia-EU cooperation and relations. They also expressed the hope that the Yerevan parliamentary talks will become an important milestone in the enhancement of Armenia-EU relations.

At the request of the guests, Serzh Sargsyan spoke about the priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy, and also responded to the queries posed by the members of the Bureau of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly.
